Model UN conferences form the foundation of our organization. At each conference, intellectual, passionate university students from around the world meet to discuss global issues and resolve specific conflicts over the course of several days. In the format of the actual United Nations, each student serves as a delegate who represents a particular nation on a specific United Nations committee. These committees cover a wide range of regions and topics. Common committees include the Security Council, the United Nations Environmental Program, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank. Delegates learn to collaborate and compromise to write resolutions on topics. To prepare new participants for conferences, AIRMUN provides training sessions and mock simulations before each conference. Meanwhile, experienced delegates learn new strategies and improve their public speaking skills. We invite any student to attend conferences.

Through MITMUNC, we have formed partnerships with many other conferences and organizations. These organizations invite us to their conferences and other functions typically to chair for them and they pay for airfare and accommodations. The list of conferences we will be attending in 2012 include:
